How to Connect Mailchimp to API Nation

This step-by-step guide will walk you through the process of connecting your Mailchimp account to API Nation.

Heads up ❇️: We recommend opening up API Nation and Mailchimp in separate tabs so that you will be able to easily go back and forth between the sites in order to setup your connection.

Step 1

Log into your API Nation account

Select Apps at the top

In the Search Apps box type in mailchimp, then click on the tile for Mailchimp

Click the Connections tab

On a separate tab in your browser, login to your Mailchimp account

Step 6

Click on your profile in the top-right, then select select Account & Billing

Step 7

From the Extras drop-down menu, select API keys

Step 8

Click Create A Key in order to generate an API Key to be used with API Nation

Next you will want to create a name for the API Key. If you are unsure of which label to use we recommend API Nation. Then click Generate Key.

Click Copy to Clipboard

Alert 🔐: We recommend not clicking Done in the event you need to copy the API Key again in order to connect your account to API Nation.

Return back to the tab in your browser for your account with API Nation and click Add Account

Create a label for the connection to your Mailchimp account. If you will be connecting multiple accounts, we recommend the label help identify which Mailchimp account it is related to.

Paste in the API Key provided by Mailchimp, then click Connect.

That's it! Your Mailchimp account is now connected and ready to be setup with any integrations you desire!
