API Nation copies the contacts on your Transact transactions into the CRM you use, such as Wise Agent, Fello or Cloze. New and edited contacts are copied automatically.
Before you start
- Lone Wolf has to approve your brokerage first. Lone Wolf sends your broker of record a form to sign. Once it is signed, Lone Wolf gives API Nation access to your Transact account, and we send you your Transact Brokerage ID.
- Lone Wolf charges a monthly fee for this access. The fee depends on how many active agents your brokerage has. It is added to your API Nation subscription.
- Your exact fee is confirmed after you connect. Lone Wolf bills API Nation once your brokerage is connected and your sync has started, and we pass that amount on to you. If you would like an estimate before you start, contact API Nation support at [email protected] and we will send you example costs by brokerage size.
- You need an account in the CRM you want to sync to.
Step 1: Connect Transact
- In API Nation, go to Apps and search for Transact (or Lone Wolf).
- Open Connections and click Add account.
- Paste the Transact Brokerage ID we sent you. It looks like this:
32e4615e-71a3-4565-9bd7-b8394b63c517. - Click Save.
The connection appears with your office name, for example "Transact - San Diego Office".
If you connect the same brokerage again later, API Nation updates the existing connection. It does not create a second one.
Step 2: Set up the sync
- Choose Transact as the source and your CRM as the destination.
- Pick the options below, then map the fields you want to copy.
- Turn the sync on.
Agents
Choose whose transactions to sync.
- Leave it empty to sync the transactions of every active agent in your brokerage. New agents are included automatically.
- Pick one or more agents to sync only their transactions. This works for invited agents too.
Contact roles
Only contacts with the roles you pick are synced. Buyer, Seller, Landlord, Tenant and Other are picked by default. Choose All roles to sync everyone, including agents, lenders, lawyers, title and escrow companies.
If you change the roles later, the change only applies to contacts that are added or edited after it.
Sync contacts updated since (YYYY-MM-DD)
- Leave it blank to sync only contacts added or edited after you turn the sync on.
- Enter a date, such as
2026-01-01, to also copy the contacts added or edited since that date. Use this to copy your existing contacts. A large history is copied in batches of up to 1,000 contacts per run, so it can take a few runs.
You cannot change this date after the sync's first run.
What gets synced, and when
- A contact is synced when a party is added to a transaction, or when a party is edited. For example, adding a Seller to a transaction, or fixing a buyer's phone number.
- Editing the transaction itself does not sync its contacts. Changing the address or the stage of a transaction does not count as a change to its contacts.
- The sync checks Transact about every 10 minutes. You can also press Sync now.
- The same person on several transactions is a separate contact in Transact on each one. Your CRM matches them by email, so they end up as one contact in your CRM.
The fields you can map include:
- first, middle and last name, and full name
- phone, cell phone, home phone and work phone
- company
- address, city, state, postal code and country
- role
- the agent the transaction belongs to
- the transaction ID
What is not synced
- Contacts with no email and no phone number. A CRM cannot tell who they are. Add an email or phone number to the party in Transact, and the contact syncs on the next run.
- Removed parties. Removing a party from a transaction in Transact does not delete the contact from your CRM.
- Notes, activities and custom fields. Transact does not make these available.
- Contacts on transactions of agents you did not pick, and contacts with roles you did not pick.
Troubleshooting
"Contact Lone Wolf support to enable API access for your account."
Lone Wolf has not approved API Nation access for this Brokerage ID yet, or the ID is wrong. Contact Lone Wolf support. If you are not sure you have the right ID, contact us at [email protected].
"The Transact Brokerage ID must look like 32e4615e-71a3-4565-9bd7-b8394b63c517."
The ID you entered is not in the right format. Copy it again from our email, with no spaces.
"None of the agents selected in this sync exist in Transact any more."
Every agent picked in Agents has been removed from Transact. Open the sync settings and pick agents again, or leave Agents empty to sync all active agents.
A contact I changed did not appear in my CRM. Check these, in order:
- Did you change the party on the transaction? Changes to the transaction itself do not sync contacts.
- Is the contact's role picked under Contact roles?
- Is the transaction's agent picked under Agents, or is Agents empty?
- Does the contact have an email or a phone number?
- Wait 10 minutes or press Sync now, then check the sync's log.
Still stuck? Contact API Nation support at [email protected], and include the name of the contact and the transaction.
