Chime and Constant Contact Sync via API Nation

The Chime and Constant Contact integration will synchronize your Contacts from Chime to your Audiences in Constant Contact.

  • All of your Chime Contacts are automatically added to your Newsletter Audience in Constant Contact. No more importing / exporting to update your list.

  • Sync is always on, so Leads are added to Constant Contact as soon as they arrive in Chime

  • Keep Constant Contact Newsletter List contacts info in lock step with your Chime Contacts info.

Checkout the video above to see it in action.

If you'd prefer to read through a guide, here's a step-by-step:

Head to https://my.apination.com/apps/chime/constant_contact/ to get started.

There you will see two syncs available for Chime and Constant Contact:

  • Chime leads to Constant Contact contacts

  • Constant Contact contacts into Chime

You can set up one or set up both of these Syncs to create a true 2-way sync. Either way it is still the same flat rate. Click activate to begin the set up.

After clicking Activate on the Sync

Step one is to connect your Constant Contact account. Click the “Connect Constant Contact” Button

Sign into your Constant Contact account with your username and password

Great you’ve now connected Constant Contact.

Step two is to connect Chime. Click the “Connect Chime account” button

Sign into your Chime account and Authorize access for API Nation.

Both apps are now connected. You can now begin configuring your Sync for launch. There are a few options to decide before activating the Sync. Starting with the “Chime leads to Constant Contact contacts” sync:

  1. “Sync all Contacts on first run”: Check the box to send over all contacts from Chime, leave the box unchecked if you’d only like to start sending over new contacts added from today going forward.

  2. Source: Optional filter, only Sync over contacts from Chime with a particular Source. Just enter the Source here.

  3. Group Filter: Optional Filter to only Sync contacts from a particular group in Chime

  4. Agent Filter: Optional filter, choose to send contacts assigned to All Agents, or a single specified Agent.

  5. Filter Tags: Optional filter to send over contacts to Outlook from a tag or number of tags. Be sure to add a comma after each tag, and enter the tags exactly as they are in Chime, including capitalization.

  6. Select Contact List: Specify which list the leads will be added to.

Scroll down and confirm the mapping.

If there are any additional fields you would like to connect, click the “Plus” icon on the right of the empty field, and select the field from the drop down.

You can add multiple fields into a single Constant Contact field (e.g. *First Name* *Last Name* into a *Full Name* Constant Contact field).

You can also add plain text to a field (e.g. add the Text “Chime” in a field called Lead Source, so mark all the leads coming through as from the source “Chime”)

Once you’re satisfied with the options, Scroll to the top and click the big Activate Sync button.

The Sync will now be activated. From here you can…

  1. Rename the Sync (helpful if you created multiple Syncs with slightly different rules.

  2. Pause the Sync

  3. Clone the Sync to create a Sync with the exact same connection and configuration, you can then make the slight configuration changes to fit your needs

  4. Click the Chime logo or Constant Contact logo to be taken to their full menu of Syncs available.

Once you’ve connected them, they will all be available for management in the “My Syncs” area of API Nation.

That’s it!

As soon as a contact is updated or added in Chime, the integration will see it and send it over to your Constant Contact Newsletter List.

Your Newsletter audience will grow faster than ever, you never have to import or export and you’ll save time managing contacts.
