Lofty and Outlook Sync via API Nation

The Lofty and Outlook integration will synchronize your Contacts between Lofty and your Outlook account. The integration has two Syncs available so you can create a complete two way sync between Lofty and Outlook.

  • All of your Lofty Contacts are available in your Outlook phonebook and ready for quick, easy access to email, call or text

  • Updated Contacts names will be accurately displayed through caller ID and texts

  • Keep Lofty contacts info in lock step with your Outlook and smartphone contacts info.

Checkout the video above to see it in action.

If you'd prefer to read through a guide, here's a step-by-step:

Head to https://my.apination.com/apps/chime/outlook/ to get started.

There you will see 2 syncs available for Lofty and Outlook.

  1. Lofty leads to Office 365 contacts

  2. Office 365 contacts into Lofty

You can set up 1 or both of these Syncs for the same flat rate. Click activate on the Sync of your choice to begin set up.

First you will connect your Outlook account. Click the Connect Button and sign into your Outlook account to make the connection

Once you’ve signed in, you’ll be asked to Connect Lofty, click the button “Connect Lofty Account”

To connect Lofty, Sign into your Lofty account and click Authorize

Once you’ve connected both apps, you can now begin configuring your Sync for launch.

There are a few options to decide before activating the Sync. Starting with the “Lofty leads to Outlook people” sync:

  1. “Sync all leads on first run”: Check the box to send over all contacts from Lofty, leave the box unchecked if you’d only like to start sending over new contacts added from today going forward.

  2. Group Filter: Optional Filter to only Sync contacts from a particular group in Lofty

  3. Agent Filter: Optional filter, choose to send contacts assigned to All Agents, or a single specified Agent.

  4. Filter Tags: Optional filter to send over contacts to Outlook from a tag or number of tags. Be sure to add a comma after each tag, and enter the tags exactly as they are in Lofty, including capitalization. \

  5. Check this box if you want contact info to only fill in blank fields, when syncing over a contact that already exists in Outlook. Leave the box unchecked and the Sync will overwrite any contact with the information from Lofty

Once your preliminary settings are set, click the Subscribe button. It will then create the Workflow using those settings. The Workflow is not yet active.

Before activating the workflow

Scroll down and confirm the mapping.

If there are any additional fields you would like to connect, click the “Plus” icon on the right of the empty field, and select the field from the drop down.

You can add multiple fields into a single Outlook field (e.g. *First Name* *Last Name* into the *Full Name* Outlook field).

You can also add plain text to a field (e.g. add the Text “Lofty” in a field called Lead Source, so mark all the leads coming through as from the source “Lofty”)

Once you’re satisfied with the options, Scroll to the top and click the big Activate Sync button.

The Sync will now be activated. From here you can…

  1. Rename the Sync (helpful if you created multiple Syncs with slightly different rules.

  2. Pause the Sync

  3. Clone the Sync to create a Sync with the exact same connection and configuration, you can then make the slight configuration changes to fit your needs

  4. Click the Lofty logo or Outlook logo to be taken to their full menu of Syncs available.

You can then go back to: https://my.apination.com/apps/chime/office_365 to set up your choice of the remaining Chime and Outlook Syncs.

Once you’ve connected them, they will all be available for management in the “My Syncs” area of API Nation.

That’s it!

As soon as a contact is updated or added in Chime, the integration will see it and send it over to your Outlook. And as soon as you add a Contact to your Outlook that contact will also be added into Chime.

Your Caller ID info will always be up to date, your contacts are completely backed up, and you’ll save time managing contacts.
