How to Sync Realtor.com Connections Plus Leads to KW Command

This integration sends every new lead from Realtor.com Connections Plus straight into KW Command as a contact. Leads arrive in real time, so your team can follow up without copying anything by hand. This guide walks you through activating the integration, connecting both accounts, and choosing how leads are created in KW Command.

Before you begin

  •  A Realtor.com Connections Plus subscription. A standard Realtor.com account will not work.
  •  Access to the Realtor.com dashboard with permission to edit Lead Settings.
  •  Your KW Command username and password.
  •  An API Nation account. You can create one for free at my.apination.com.

What this integration does not do

A few limits to be aware of before you set things up.

  •  No historical leads — only leads created after the workflow is turned on will be sent to KW Command. Leads already sitting in your Realtor.com account will not be pulled over.
  •  No standard Realtor.com accounts — lead delivery is only available on Connections Plus and Market VIP plans.
  •  One direction only — contacts flow from Realtor.com into KW Command. Changes made in KW Command are not sent back to Realtor.com.

Steps to configure

1

Find the integration in API Nation

Log in to your API Nation account. From the Apps page, find and click the Realtor.com Connections Plus tile. In the list of available integrations, locate Realtor.com Connections Plus contacts to KW Command contacts.

2

 Activate the integration

Click Activate on the integration to start the setup wizard. API Nation will now walk you through connecting both accounts.

3

 Connect your Realtor.com account

Click Add Account and give your connection a name. API Nation will give you an API Key. You will then add that key inside Realtor.com under Settings → Lead Settings → Add Lead Delivery API, using webhooks.apination.com/realtor-com/lead as the Application URL. Save in Realtor.com, then return to API Nation and click Test connection.

For the full walkthrough with screenshots, see How To Connect Realtor.com to API Nation.

4

 Connect your KW Command account

Click Add Account for KW Command. You will be prompted for your KW Command username and password. After you sign in, you will be asked to select which profile you want to connect. Choose the profile that holds the contacts you want your Realtor.com leads added to, then finish the connection.

5

 Choose your KW Command options

On the KW Command step you can set how incoming leads are handled. Use Mark as lead to control whether contacts are flagged as leads, Source to label where the lead came from (this defaults to Realtor.com), and Assign to agent to route leads to a specific agent. Tick Do not overwrite information in KW Command fields if you only want API Nation to fill in blank fields on contacts that already exist.

6

 Review the field mapping

API Nation maps the standard lead fields for you. Review the mapping shown below and add any extra Realtor.com fields you want carried across, such as property details or the lead message.

7

 Turn on the workflow

Save your settings and switch the workflow On. From this point forward, every new Realtor.com lead will be created in KW Command within moments of arriving.

Field mapping

These fields are mapped by default when the integration is activated.

Realtor.com KW Command
First Name First Name
Last Name Last Name
Email Primary Email
Phone Primary Phone
Source Source

Many more Realtor.com fields are available in the mapping screen, including the lead message, lead type, and full property details such as address, price, beds, baths, and MLS ID. Add any of these to a KW Command field or a note if your team needs them.

Tip: Leaving Source set to Realtor.com makes it easy to report on lead volume in KW Command and to trigger Smart Plans based on where the lead came from.
Important: If you want to use lead routing or a Smart Plan, an active lead route using the selected source must already exist in KW Command. Tag-based Smart Plans do not require this.

Good to know

  •  Leads are delivered in real time, so there is no sync schedule to manage.
  •  API Nation checks for an existing KW Command contact by email, phone, and name before creating a new one, so repeat inquiries update the same contact instead of creating duplicates.
  •  You can add a Filter to the workflow if you only want certain leads sent across, for example leads for a specific city or price range.

Common setup issues

  •  Realtor.com connection will not test successfully — confirm you clicked Save at the bottom of the Realtor.com Lead Settings page, and that the API Key was entered in both the API Key and API Login Name fields.
  •  No option to add a Lead Delivery API — your Realtor.com plan is most likely a standard account. Connections Plus or Market VIP is required.
  •  Contacts landing in the wrong place in KW Command — check that you selected the correct profile when connecting KW Command, and review the Assign to agent setting.
  •  Older leads are missing — this is expected. Only leads generated after the workflow is switched on are sent to KW Command.

Still not working?

Send a test lead. Submit an inquiry on one of your Realtor.com listings and watch for it to appear in KW Command.

Check your workflow history. Open the workflow in API Nation and review the run history to see whether the lead was received and what happened to it.
