How to Reconnect your iCloud Account

Summary

 

There may be times that our service may not be able to reach your iCloud account due to it becoming disconnected. When this happens one of the first steps you want to take to correct the issue is to reconnect your iCloud account.

 

 

Why does this happen?

 

Any time you change or reset your primary Apple ID password, the app-specific password for API Nation will become invalid, and your iCloud service needs to be reconnected. For more information, please review Apple's article for App-specific Passwords

 

 

 

Reconnecting to iCloud

 

  1. Log into API Nation.
  2. Select Apps at the top
  3. Click My Apps on the left-side panel
  4. Select the tile for iPhone Contacts (iCloud)

 

 

  1. Click Connections

 

 

  1. Click Reconnect

 

 

 

  1. You will now be prompted to enter your App-specific password for your iCloud account.

 

How to generate an App-Specific Password

  1. Sign in to appleid.apple.com.

  2. In the Sign-In and Security section, select App-Specific Passwords.

  3. Select Generate an app-specific password of seelect the Add button (+), then follow the steps on your screen.

  4. Enter or paste the app-specific password into the password field of the app.

 

 

Reactivating your Workflow

 

After you have completed the steps to reconnect your account and enter your app-specific password, it is recommended that you review your workflows as they may have been paused as a result.
