Frequently Asked Questions:

How long does it take to sync my data?

Unfortunately our service cannot move over everything at once, so it will grab the information in batches and sync those each time it pulls your data. On average this process can take 2-3 days to complete, depending on the amount of data that needs to be moved over and the options you have selected when setting up your integration.

A good way to determine if all existing information has moved over is by looking for the status "Ignored" multiple times in a row when viewing your logs. This indicates that our service has not found any new information to sync.

How many records do I have?

There are a number of factors that go into calculating how many records you will need to transfer. Although we cannot provide you with the exact number, we did create an article that will help you calculate your dotloop records

How do I only sync from specific profiles

As you progress through the setup of the integration you will be presented with the opportunity to select which specific dotloop profiles you would like to sync information from. You will be able to select between Individual and Company profiles (when applicable). By default, All Profiles will be selected.

How do I only sync loops from specific dates?

This setting is not required, but is useful if you are no looking to backup ALL of your loops. If perhaps you are only looking to export the Loops information starting on a specific date, then you will want to select the date using the calendar drop-down.

In the example below, we have selected to only backup Loops starting from January 1, 2022.

How do I only sync specific loop statuses?

One way to help reduce the amount of data you are backing up is by selecting only specific loop statuses to pull the files and documents from. Users that know loops with certain statuses, such as "Archived" or "Terminated", can be excluded, will be able to select only the loop statuses you wish to backup the files for.

If you are unsure which statuses to select, it is highly recommended you select All.

Why don't the Loop URL's work anymore?

The URL's listed on the Google Sheet will be accessible as long as your dotloop account is still active. Although that is one way for users to still access the files, that is not how to access the files backed up to your Google Drive.

In order to access the files backed up to your Google Drive, please review How do I find my data?

How do I find my data?

When setting up the workflow integration, users have the option to change the folder path of where the data will be stored in Google Drive. Assuming the default path was used your data can be found the following way:

  1. Login to Google Drive
  2. Select My Drive on the left-side panel
  3. Open the folder labeled API Nation
  4. Open the folder labeled dotloop

Once you are inside the dotloop folder you will see folders for the profiles you selected when setting up the integration. Inside those folders are where the folders for each loop containing the files or documents associated to each. It is recommended to use the Search bar at the top of Google Drive in order to locate a specific listing and/or file.

Please note: If you have multiple accounts with Google it is important to make sure you are under the correct profile.
