Resolving CSRF Token Errors

Seeing an CSRF error when logging into API Nation? Don't worry, we're here to help:

 

If you're seeing an error that looks like the photo below in your browser, please take a look at our explanation and steps to resolve this issue in this article.

 

 

 

This error message means that your browser couldn’t create a secure cookie, or couldn’t access that cookie to authorize your login. This can be caused by ad- or script-blocking plugins, but also by the browser itself if it's not allowed to set cookies.

 

To address this issue, follow these steps.

Google Chrome Instructions

1.) Open Chrome Settings.
 

 

2.) In the Privacy and security section, click Cookies and other site data

 

 

3.) Scroll down to Sites that can always use cookies and click Add.

 

4.) Copy and paste "[*.]apination.com/" and click Add.
 

 

5.) Click See all cookies and site data, search for apination, and delete all API Nation-related entries.
 

 

6.) Reload Google Chrome (Close chrome entirely) and log into your API Nation account here: .https://my.apination.com/

 

Firefox Instructions

1.) Open the Firefox Options menu.

 

2.) On the left, select Privacy & Security.

 

 

3.) Under Cookies and Site Data click on Manage Permissions.

 

 

4.) Copy and paste "https://my.apination.com/" and click Allow, then click Save Changes.

 

 

5.) Next, click on Manage Data, search for apination, and click on Remove All Shown, then click on Save Changes, then click Remove once more.

 

 

 

6.) Reload Firefox (Close Firefox entirely) and log into your API Nation account here: https://my.apination.com/

 

Safari Instructions

 

1.) Open Safari Preferences from the drop-down menu in the navigation bar or by typing Cmd + , (⌘,).


2.) Click the Privacy tab and make sure that "Cookies and website data" is not set to "Block all cookies", search for “apination” and remove all apination-related entries.



3.) Reload Safari (Close Safari entirely) and log into your API Nation account here: https://my.apination.com/
